Headache & Migraine Treatment in Hastings, NE

Headaches can be frustrating. Migraines can be life changing.

If you've never experienced a migraine, it is difficult to understand how much they can impact your day, your work, your family, and your quality of life. They aren't "just headaches." Many people experience throbbing pain, pressure, light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, nausea,
dizziness, difficulty concentrating, or the overwhelming desire to retreat to a dark, quiet room until the symptoms pass.

This is one condition where I can genuinely relate to what many of my patients are going through.

I have personally dealt with chronic migraines for years. Unfortunately, migraines run in my family and are something I inherited. Even as a healthcare provider, I continue to learn more
about my own triggers, work to reduce the frequency and severity of attacks, and look for new strategies to better manage them. Because of that experience, I understand firsthand how debilitating migraines can be and how frustrating it is when they interfere with work, family events, vacations, hobbies, and everyday life.

Not every headache is a migraine. Some people experience tension headaches that feel like a tight band around their head. Others notice headaches that begin in the neck and gradually move into the back of the head, temples, or behind the eyes. Many patients tell me they simply wake up with headaches and don't understand why they keep returning.

When Should You Seek Care?

You may benefit from an evaluation if:

  • You experience frequent headaches or migraines

  • Headaches continue to return despite medication

  • Neck pain and headaches occur together

  • ymptoms interfere with work, family activities, or sleep

  • Light sensitivity, dizziness, or nausea accompany your headaches

  • You find yourself planning your life around migraine attacks

  • Headaches are becoming more frequent or severe

While there is rarely a single cause of headaches or migraines, identifying potential contributing factors can often be an important piece of the puzzle. My goal is to help patients better understand their symptoms, improve their quality of life, and help them spend more time doing the things they enjoy and less time dealing with headaches
